Declaration Of War - Finnie Mac Cool / Giant’s Causeway

The bay colt, owned by Nimet Arif Kurtel, bred by Mozaik Org.San.Tic.A.Ş., started his racing career in July 2021 by winning the race named Saadettin (Condition-1) on the turf of Istanbul Racecourse. One month later, the thoroughbred trained by Batuhan Ay, finished the G1 race named Karayel in Ankara in third place. Then, he won Guineas Trial (G2) and TYAYSD (G2). His latest performance as a 2-year-old was Çaldıran Stakes (G1), where he was placed second. Starting the new season in Dubai, Final Dance finished Al Bastakiya (L) in the Super Saturday, in fourth place. Coming back to İstanbul in the end of April, the bay colt finished Preveze Stakes (A3) in second place. He showed a very successful performance by winning one of the most important trials of Gazi Derby, the 2000 Guineas (G1) and Sait Akson (G2) Stakes.

He got his first victory at his third start on turf track on1800 meters on 06 March. On the same track, on 19 March, he finished the Tendürek Stakes (A3) in second place and won Sadık Eliyeşil Cup (Condition-9) on turf track on 1900 meters at the İstanbul Veliefendi Racecourse. Zala Bey, trained by Yücel Şimşek, was placed second in the Sait Akson Stakes (G2) on 05 June, which is his latest performance. Trained by Mehmet Akbulut, the bay colt finished the A3 race named Hitit in second place, which was his first challenge our of Bursa. Then the thoroughbred came to Istanbul, experiencing the synthetic track. Zorro’s biggest challenge was the Fethi Lütfi Karaosmanoğlu Cup (G3) at İzmir Şirinyer Racecourse and he won the race with his jockey Halis Karataş. Then, coming to İstanbul once again, Zorro finished Preveze Stakes (A3) and 2000 Guineas (G1) in fourth place.
